When i saw this ad campaign yesterday it immediately made me nauseated. Who would think of such a thing? Really? These are four incredible ARTISTS- not people to be plastered with fake poofy clouds and Dr Martens to sell some stinky shoes. FOR SHAME! Worse off, it appears the brains behind the outfit, Saatchi & Saatchi did not even receive permission from Dr Martens...

The concept was not approved and a press release from the shoe company stated, "Dr Martens did not commission the work as it runs counter to our current marketing activities based on FREEDM, which is dedicated to nurturing grass roots creativity and supporting emerging talent." The short of the long, Saatchi & Saatchi were fired." (Tripwire) So does this mean we won't have to see this plastered along a building on Houston Street? I hope so!
