At MsG! Wow. Gone are the days when Jaime and i would go check out the Cold War Kids at the Mercury Lounge and Southpaw. These boys have officially blown up. It might not seem like a huge feat to open up for Muse, but let me put in into context for you. Muse is one of the largest acts in Europe right now. As previously reported, the boys are playing the grand re-opening of Wembley Stadium which roughly can hold up to 90,000 screaming fans---their show will play to a small crowd of 75,000. They sold it out in a matter of minutes and then added a second date and sold that out as well. This weekend while walking around my neighborhood my roomie and i discovered the ads for this show and i was immediately both shocked and elated. Good for you Cold War Kids! We have loved you all along.
