So i was going to hold off a bit on the blogging today due to my need to catch up at work and love of the Arcade Fire- but when i read this news i had to share! It isn't enough that London gets to call Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen theirs, but it seems that Prince is setting up a residency there as well- and inviting Amy to sing with him. Prince is going to perform his greatest hits for the last time for 21 nights, starting with a string of seven shows at the 02 Arena on August 1, 3, 4, 7, 10, 11 and 14. The tour is being billed as the 'Earth Tour' with more dates to be announced at a later time. The ticket price of £31.21 and go on sale at 9am on May 11th (London time) will also include a copy of Prince's as-yet-untitled new album. "Speaking at a press conference in London today (May 8), Prince said he and his band had rehearsed 150 songs for the dates, the only European shows he will perform this year. He also revealed his wish for Amy Winehouse to join him onstage for a version of her track 'Love Is A Losing Game'." Trip to London anyone? Anyone?
