1-2-3-4 Tell me that you Love me More
Last night marked my second time seeing Feist, the first time being at Webster Hall. And again she performed at the top of her game. Leslie 'Feist' has this ability to blend her gently soothing voice with straight up great guitar work and a band that does an excellent job backing her up. The songs off her latest album 'The Reminder' do a great job complimenting her hits off of 'Let It Die' and the two when put together create one heck of a show. The setlist, which focused mainly on her new material with select gems off of 'Let It Die.' A special addition was Kevin Drew joining her on keys for "Lover's Spit." She continued the show with a a cover of New York artist that has residency going but I am drawing a blank on the name and invited a fan on stage with great whislting skills so she could loop his whistling as intro to one of her songs. Taking a page from Andrew Bird are we? I think it is noteworthy to point out that Feist does all of her tuning herself and besides entering the stage and before the encore she does pretty much the whole show with no stage assistance....she is just an independent rocker that delivers a powerful performance.
*An fyi to anyone going tonite, she got on last night at 9:20.
