Black Rebel Motorcycle Club kicks Webster Hall into a frenzy!
*cred
Man oh man...when you walk into Webster Hall at 9:05 and leave at 11:20 because ONE band has played this whole time, you know things are good. That is exactly what Black Rebel Motorcycle Club did last night. Displaying material from their whole catalog and their latest release, 'Baby 81'. The band played a set that you would think was their final bow. No joke, they ripped through an hour fifteen minutes of pure rock before moving into a set of a few acoustic songs. They wrapped things up by taking requests from the audience for the rest of the show. Having seen these guys last year at Webster with that show clocking in at about an hour and twenty I can say all I wanted was more. Well, last night I can say I left truly satisfied and an incredibly happy BRMC fan. Peter Hayes and Robert Been are one of the best Guitar / Bass duos out there and with Nick Lago on the kit these guys combine soulful rock and garage rock into one perfect blend. The show was excellent and it was great to see that practically no one left before the shows final notes. If Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is coming to a town near you, do not miss them...they will deliver!
