Only in America
NME reports that a new rock 'n' roll themed park is set to open in the spring of 2008 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The park itself will span 150 acres and is expected to attract 30,000 visitors daily. Construction began last July after the Governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford broke ground with a 250 ton sand sculpture interpretation of Mount Rushmore cleverly named "Mount Rockmore." Oh yes- only in America. It gets better too, instead of past American presidents the faux mountain will feature the faces of Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Bob Marley and Elvis Presley. I bet they would all be so honoured! Thank you Hard Rock Cafe! This was exactly what had been missing from all of our lives!
