I HATE Walmart

This is the second time i have heard news of this story and it ceases to upset me. Of course i am all for the bands that i love reaching a wider audience, recieving more radio airtime, selling more albums, but to be put on a compilation where the targeted market is for people who shop at Walmart?! Walmart! I freakin LOATHE Walmart. They are awful!

"Bloc Party are set to feature on a new series of compilations. A group of the most prominent independent music labels in the US are joining forces to produce a series of compilations like the 'Now That's What I Call Music' series. The albums are set to features the likes of The Shins, Bright Eyes, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Adam Shore manager of Vice Records said: "These bands' records sell really well to a particular audience. But ever though these artists are getting all this media exposure, they're not necessarily crossing over to a very casual record buyer. "The popularity of these bands is bigger than they've ever been before. So what we're trying to do here is give more people more reasons to listen to these artist." The first volume in set to be released in July. The focus will be to sell the collections at big stores such as Wal Mart, reports Entertainment Weekly."

Does Karen O really know about this?! Local record stores every where, i feel for you. Thank goodness Rough Trade is still around.

**Music Slut posted a Rare B-side...and yes, with the same photo i used for this story-but i love it and it fits my story perfectly...in a way, so i am keeping it up.

Walmart India is a known corporate terrorist that has reached to the top by kicking, and hurting all the people connected to their warped system. However, we should realise the fact that the people behind this corporate beast have been manipulating humanity for a long time.

Now THAT'S HOT
