So very jealous

As i previously reported, Rough Trade Records is opening a mega store next week with 5,000 SQUARE FEET of floor space! I love the idea of them being bold enough to undertake such an excellent action towards further music throughout England. If only we could get one of these here! Not that i dont love Other Music dearly. Stephen Godfroy, the stores director said his mission is "to deliver something we feel as been missing in this country for far too long- an environment that celebrates music as an exciting art form, not just as a commerical commodity - but on a scale that is a departure from the traditional perception of an independent record shop" The idea of all of those shelves of vinyl, they must have had me in mind! How lovely! I wish we could have a scout go and tell us what it is like!
